Today, the Portuguese Regulateur with its sapphire back cover from IWC would master the task effortlessly and no less stylishly. It is equipped with a 98245-calibre pocket watch movement, which, as its name implies, is based on the 98 calibre, a design that has been continuously developed over the past 70 years. The three separate time displays are dominated by a slim, central swallow-style minute hand. The hour hand and display are found in a subdial at “12 o’clock”, the seconds hand directly opposite at “6 o’clock”. With the case measuring a stately 43.1 millimetres in diameter, this generously sized watch is available in platinum in a limited edition of 500 pieces.
